1 Feb 2007 - Healthy Schools Award
Havergal were thrilled at the end of 2006 to receive a letter telling us that we had been awarded Healthy Schools Status, one of only 9 schools in South Staffs.
It is a National Target that 50% of schools achieve the Healthy Schools Standard by July 2007.
Havergal has taken many steps to try and make our school a healthier place to be. These have included being part of the free fruit scheme, having access to water throughout the day, 2 P.E. lessons a week, after school sport activities, healthy food week and the introduction of the School Council and circle time.
At the beginning of Febrary Mrs Watson, Mrs Dziegiel and our two Year 3 council reps were invited to the award ceremony in Stafford where we received our Healthy School plaque, now displayed inside the front entrance.
